Chris Brown Embraces Pop Side On 'Yeah 3X'

Snippet of the techno-dance number premiered Wednesday morning on San Fransico's WiLD 94.9.

Chris Brown won over our hearts and wedding entrances with his feel-good hit "Forever." And it looks like the singer may be interested in re-creating that magic with his new song "Yeah 3X." A snippet of the track, which premiered Wednesday morning (September 15) on San Francisco radio station WiLD 94.9, finds Brown venturing away from his urban roots ("Deuces") and onto the dance floor.

Over an electrifying, video game-type beat, Chris' vocals soar atop the bouncy track as he proclaims his feelings for his lover. In what sounds like it could be an energetic little sister to "Forever," he sings, "In the moment, can't believe/ You're so beautiful/ Feels like I'm in a dream/ Baby, we're goin' somewhere you've never been before/ So take my hand and come with me/ Don't feel out of place 'cause I'm in love with this feeling."

No word on whether the song will appear on his next album, but the singer posted a line from the lyrics on Twitter on Wednesday and tweeted, "i hope you liked the record everyone who heard it and thx for your support."

"Yeah 3X" joins a slew of other tracks that have recently surfaced featuring Brown, including Twista's "Make a Movie" and his cover of Nicki Minaj's "Your Love."

But the entertainer isn't just interested in feature cameos, he's steadily at work on the follow-up to 2009's Graffiti. RapUpTV recently caught up with "Deuces" producer Kevin McCall, who said that the Virginia native may be heading in a new direction with his next LP.

McCall revealed the titles of two new tracks, "Another You" and "Rest of My Life." "We're going to keep working on new stuff from here. That kid's got a lot of records so it's tough picking out cuts. It's really new right now. The song 'Another You' is country. It's like Hootie and the Blowfish, so it should be something different, something new and fresh."

Fans may also be hearing another new song from the 21-year-old sometime soon. Brown has hyped up a Polow Da Don-produced track called "Calypso" on Twitter, saying, "this is a song that women have been missing from ME!!"

Based on the snippet, what do you think of Chris' "Yeah 3X"? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

B.o.B Predicts VMAs Will Be 'One Hell Of A Show'

'I really want to see what everyone has up their sleeve as far as performances go,' MC says.
By Jayson Rodriguez

B.o.B
Photo: MTV News

B.o.B is not only taking the stage to perform during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, the Atlanta rapper is up for a number of awards himself, from Best Male Video to Best Hip-Hop Video.

So while he sits in the house at the Nokia Theatre, he'll have a front-row seat to take in the show.

Although Florence and the Machine are favorites of the "Nothin' on You" star, he told MTV News he's looking forward to all of the performances. From Drake to Usher to Justin Bieber, B.o.B said he thinks everyone is going to deliver.

"I really want to see what everyone has up their sleeve as far as performances go," he explained. " 'Cause for me, I take performing very seriously. So I can bet everyone else is like that. So it's gonna be one hell of a show."

B.o.B has had a good year, as the upstart MC scored a #1 debut album and three top 10 hits, "Nothin' on You," "Airplanes" and "Magic."

The lanky lyricist will take the stage to perform "Nothin' on You" with Bruno Mars and then "Airplanes" with Paramore's Hayley Williams.

The Saturday rehearsal with B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Williams was relaxed and filled with plenty of impromptu moments. Bruno Mars and B.o.B each busted out into covers, with Bruno trying out Drake's "Find Your Love" and B.o.B covering the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Juicy."

And B.o.B and Williams, who had recorded "Airplanes" separately and later shot their parts for the video at different times, met for the first time.

Tune in tonight for the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles! The party starts with MTV News' VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You can still vote for Best New Artist at VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if you're a Verizon subscriber).

Bono And The Edge Praise Spider-Man Musical, Explain Connection Between Comics And Music

After countless setbacks, controversies, and casting changes, "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" premiered on Broadway this weekend for preview audiences. 'Burlesque' Is About The 'Tease,' Cher Says

Plus: We badger co-star Stanley Tucci about why he doesn't get a song-and-dance number in the film.
By Kara Warner

Cher
Photo: MTV News

After weeks of seeing those titillating "Burlesque" billboards and TV spots, the movie is finally here! For those looking for something fun to see this holiday weekend — specifically a musical with a little sugar and spice, plus Cher, Christina Aguilera and a lot of eye candy — then this is the movie for you.

And despite the stars' admissions to a few unsexy moments during production, it's safe to say that the majority of the film is sexy, sassy fun. But don't take our word for it; take Cher's. When we caught up with the legendary star recently and sly, quick-witted co-star Stanley Tucci, they gave us a rundown on what sexy is all about: chest hair.

To better set up this scenario, it should be noted that when MTV News walked into the interview room, Cher and Tucci were involved in a playful exchange about whether Tucci should button more buttons on his shirt.

"I can see the little 'I think I'm sexy,' because you've got the button happening," Cher told Tucci about his chest hair peeking out of his shirt.

"Oh, the button, yeah. Oh, I can't [button it up]. That would be sad," he quipped.

"Also, the hair is pushing the shirt away, so you've got to let it out," Cher shot back.

"That's right," Tucci said, opening his collar wider. "That's right, baby."

"It's gotta be free, it's gotta run wild," Cher added.

With a break in the friendly banter, we told Tucci that with all the song-and-dance action in the film, we were disappointed that his character doesn't have his own number.

"No, believe me, you're not," he said, which made Cher laugh out loud.

"Everybody keeps asking that question!" she exclaimed.

"If there had been, there would have been real disappointment," Tucci insisted.

Surely with all the downtime on set, he picked up a few things, like some dance moves.

"I did, but I got shots for those," he joked. "No, I'm not a singer, I'm not a singer."

Very well. We then turned the conversation back to the subject at hand — "Burlesque" — and Cher's take on what makes the film's style of dance sexy without being all about sex.

"Burlesque itself is more about tease," Cher said. "It's more about what you think is going to happen, not necessarily what's happening. It's kind of fun."

Check out everything we've got on "Burlesque."

Chris Brown Announces Fame Album Title

The singer reveals follow-up to 2009's Graffiti
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Chris Brown has had some very public personal struggles but the Virginia crooner isn't shying away from the spotlight on his next album. The singer has announced that the title of his follow-up to 2009's Graffiti will be Fame.

"I'm putting out singles a lot right now, so everything's coming together. But I definitely am gonna to say this and plug it quick: The name of my album is Fame so make sure you check it out," Brown said when he recently played radio host on 102.3 The Beat in Austin, Texas. According to some reports, the title references a "Fame" tattoo a "Fame" tattoo the singer sports on his arm.

The singer also urged fans to look out for the singles "Yeah 3X," a high-energy track infused with chirpy techno rhythms, and "Calypso" which he tweeted about in early September. "I'm trying to get everything together, figure out what I'm [going to] do with the album," he explained.

Brown has been making a lot of moves on the music scene recently. His single with Young Money spitter Tyga, "Deuces," topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart. He has also appeared on Chicago O.G. Twista's "Make a Movie" and revamped Nicki Minaj's "Your Love."

Breezy's "Deuces" collaborator Kevin McCall recently dished about some of the singer's new songs, including the "Rest of My Life" and "Another You," in which the R&B star tries out another musical direction.

"We're going to keep working on new stuff from here. That kid's got a lot of records so it's tough picking out cuts. It's really new right now," McCall said. "The song 'Another You' is country. It's like Hootie and the Blowfish, so it should be something different, something new and fresh."

Chris Brown Joins N.E.R.D. For Fashion's Night Out Show

New York's Fashion's Night Out celebrations Friday night promised a city-wide extravaganza of major style and star power. Judging by N.E.R.D.'s outdoor performance, the evening did not disappoint.

A crowd of the band's fans and fashion revelers swarmed the West Broadway flagship of the Billionaire Boys Club brand, which is owned by N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams. A video taken at the event shows the pair flanked by a live band and a few amped-up dancers, the crew ripped through high-energy jams to a sea of New Yorkers wielding camera phones.

Sporting an army green Billionaire Boys Club jacket and green cap, Williams rocked their single "Party People," as Chris Brown, also sporting a green shirt and shorts with a military vibe, busted out some impromptu pop-locking. The band also tore through their saucy debut single "Lapdance," which was also captured on video.

Singer and producer Ryan Leslie and Japanese designer and Williams cohort Nigo also stopped by the event.

Earlier this year in a sit-down with MTV News, Williams broke down the energy fans can expect at their live shows.

"Get your stretches in — the EMTs are always on the side, because people pull muscles and stuff. And not bragging at all, I'm just telling you, dude — fat, black, white, skinny, gay, straight, I don't know how they treat you elsewhere at their shows, I don't know how they treat you in streets, [but] I know how you feel when you're going to leave that N.E.R.D show," Williams said. "And trust me, when they ask you what it was like, and could you describe it, could you ever put it into words — you're going to say, 'Nothing.' "

Tim Burton Has A Big 2010 Thanks To 'Alice In Wonderland,' MOMA Exhibit

And that's why the veteran director is one of the entertainers we're most thankful for this year.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Tim Burton
Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/ Getty Images

In Hollywood, the land of superlatives and flagrant puffery, the term "visionary" is thrown about too casually and bestowed upon flash-in-the-pan acts that all too often come and go with the change of seasons.

However, one artist for whom the descriptor is fitting, whose films truly transport audiences to other dimensions and offer a childlike sense of wonder, is director Tim Burton. And this year, thanks to "Alice in Wonderland," which brought in an estimated $1 billion at the box office ($334 million domestic, $690 million international) in addition to 20-plus years of unique and exciting filmmaking, Burton is one of the folks in the entertainment world for whom we're most thankful.

As part of MTV's Thankful Week, we had the pleasure of chatting with Burton about the stress and eventual success of "Alice," if we'll be seeing a sequel or a musical adaptation on the Great White Way and a few hints about upcoming projects.

MTV: Tim, every year here at MTV News, we select a few people we're most thankful for. And you've had quite a year with the phenomenal success of "Alice in Wonderland" and a retrospective at New York's Museum of Modern Art.

Tim Burton: Wow. Well, that's quite an honor. Thank you.

MTV: Did it feel like this year was a special one?

Burton: Yeah, it was interesting. The MOMA show was very special, and then going to the Cannes film festival and "Alice" — it was a lot of stuff going on. It was a special year for me, definitely.

MTV: Were you a little more reflective than usual with the MOMA show?

Burton: Yeah, I think so. It kind of forced me to look at myself, which I don't do very often. I even avoid mirrors as I walk by them. It was a bit of a surprise in a good way. It did make me more reflective. You know, as you go on in life, there are less and less surprises — especially nice surprises, so it's really, really great to feel surprised in a good way.

MTV: We spoke a few times when you were working on "Alice," and frankly, you seemed stressed.

Burton: I was really stressed. We were doing music to no images. It was terrifying. In a weird way, it was quite exciting too, because you never know with a film what it's going to turn out to be. But this was just an extreme, extreme version of that.

MTV: How did you feel about the 3-D debate that came with the film? Some criticized the conversion to 3-D you used.

Burton: Right, yeah, but that was kind of a funny argument because the thing is, we'll shoot what? It's not like we were doing motion-capture or we had sets. There was nothing to shoot. We planned for it. It was kind of a created argument in a way. Everybody likes to have a celebrity death match. Who will win? Things have more shades to it than that.

MTV: Right, because a lot of it became about you and James Cameron's different approaches to 3-D.

Burton: Yeah. They're doing "Titanic" in 3-D. What, they're going to go back and shoot it in 3-D? No. They're going to do the same thing we did.

MTV: Is Disney putting the pressure on for a sequel for "Alice"?

Burton: No, they haven't, which was smart of them. They saw that it was kind of its own thing. They didn't push for it at all, which I thought was really amazing, and smart, and right.

MTV: And you are content to leave the story where it is? Because you do leave an opening at the end ...

Burton: Yeah, but that's what the material does to me, it leaves it open for you. It's kind of like dreams. It leaves it open, as it should, for interpretation. It's like I got a lot of pressure to do a sequel to "Nightmare [Before Christmas]," and I just didn't want to do that, because some movies should just be left alone. I think it keeps their kind of spirit intact in a way.

MTV: There's been talk about adapting "Alice" into a Broadway show. Are you involved in that?

Burton: I'm talking to them about that just because there was a seedling of an idea that I thought was interesting. I don't know how far it will go, but it's something. I've always kind of wanted to do something live onstage. I'm just going to explore it and see what happens.

MTV: It sounds like you'll be shooting "Dark Shadows" with Johnny Depp soon?

Burton: Yeah, I'm working on the script, and, you know, it's been kind of a long time coming, but I think I'm getting a script that I like. I don't really like talking, because I'm not really sure what's happening yet, but I'm excited about it. I think, yes, finally for me, it's getting to be the right tone.

MTV: Have you and Johnny talked specifically about his take on Barnabas Collins, the vampire at the center of the series?

Burton: Yeah, we've been talking about it. I mean, he's finishing up another movie, but we've had a couple of really good meetings. Yeah, you know, I'm excited.

MTV: Have you started shooting "Frankenweenie"?

Burton: We just started a couple of shots. It 's good. We've got a pretty low budget, but I'm excited about it. We've got a couple of shots that are done. Yeah, it's just starting. It's great.

Thanksgiving is a time for taking stock, expressing gratitude and, most importantly, overeating. We at MTV News have been gorging all year at movie theaters, so it's about time we looked back and gave thanks to our favorite actors and filmmakers of 2010. Enjoy exclusive interviews with our winners all week long.

Check out everything we've got on "Alice in Wonderland."

'King's Speech' Star Colin Firth Talks Awards-Season Love And 'Dumb Luck'

2010 best actor nominee looks poised for another Oscar nod.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Colin Firth in "The King's Speech"
Photo: The Weinstein Company

For the second year in a row, Colin Firth finds himself at the center of awards-season chatter. And after losing out on a best actor Oscar for "A Single Man," the 50-year-old actor has again established himself as one of the frontrunners in that category, thanks to his turn as the stammer-afflicted King George VI on the verge of Britain's entry into World War II in "The King's Speech."

It seems Firth is an actor at the top of his game, but to hear him tell it, it's as much a matter of good fortune as it is great talent.

"It's just dumb luck," he told MTV News at the Toronto film festival in September. "That's all: Just getting a crack at it. Sometimes you just take roles to stay in the game or pay bills and hope the good ones are going to come along.

"I was never in a world of perfect choice, and now I feel like I've had a couple of real plums landing in my hand," he added.

It was at fall film festivals in Toronto and Telluride, Colorado, as critics first began to catch screenings of "King's Speech," that it became clear we'd still be talking about Firth's performance come awards season. He's been faithfully making the publicity rounds ever since, and as he told us when we chatted earlier this month in New York, he's not bored with the experience.

"Funnily enough, I find it easier than many things," he said. "There are so many angles you can approach it from, to do with the way people are reacting to it to the surprises we've had along the way to nuances about the actual history itself. I think this has a lot of mileage in it.

"It's been very gratifying for audiences to have howls of laughter and be open to crying," he continued. "To see that happening in the same film is a triumphant feeling. When you're in Telluride, you can put it down to altitude — one glass of wine amounts to 10. So we had to test it at sea level as well to see if people enjoyed it, and they did."

Did you see Firth's performance as King George VI? Give us your review in the comments below.

Chris Brown's Mother Apologizes For Michael Jackson Comment

Joyce Hawkins says she was 'misunderstood' after tweeting 'Michael Jackson died so that Chris Brown could live!!!'
By Gil Kaufman

Chris Brown
Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images

Like son, like mother. Just as impertinent social media posts have often tripped up Chris Brown, his mother, Joyce Hawkins, set off a 140-character tempest this week with some provocative comments she made about her famous offspring's musical hero.

It all began on Tuesday, when Hawkins tweeted the phrase "Michael Jackson died so that Chris Brown could live!!!" The comment about the June 2009 death of Jackson has since been taken down, but not before it elicited a raft of harsh comments for Breezy's mom.

It was especially puzzling given the singer's avowed love for the late King of Pop, which was on display at the BET Awards earlier this year when Brown had a breakdown while performing during a tribute to Jackson.

After apparently being inundated with flames for her tweet, Hawkins released a statement to USA Today on Thursday in which she explained, "I'm so sorry that the tweet I sent yesterday was misunderstood. What I meant to say is that Chris has always been inspired by Michael Jackson's music and his career." She later tweeted, "I'm sorry I offended anyone. The statement meant Chris would carry on Michaels [sic] legacy."

Since deleting the original post, momager Hawkins has continued to do what she has done since joining the service: offer inspirational comments to her 8,000 followers. On Friday morning (September 10), she took the kind of strident, "us against the world" tone Brown often adopted after one of his Twitter episodes. "Angels continue to lift ur heads ever so high and ask God to guide and lead u throughout the good and the bad," she wrote. "Stand strong on his word!!!"

'Cowboys & Aliens' Director Jon Favreau Offers Trailer Play-By-Play

Favreau sits down with MTV News to talk about opening scene, villainous Harrison Ford and a 'mistake' fans found in the sneak peek.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

"Iron Man" director Jon Favreau sure knows how to cut a trailer. Going back to his sneak peek for the first "Iron Man" — which brought down the house at that year's San Diego Comic-Con — to the debut of the highly anticipated "Cowboys & Aliens" trailer last week, Favreau seems to be an expert at getting fans into a frenzy.

Due in large part to the response from the trailer, and our own excitement for Favreau's upcoming flick, MTV News caught up with the man himself at his editing bay in Santa Monica, California, for a play-by-play look at his titillating teaser.

"This is new for me," Favreau said of commenting on his trailer. "I'm already doing a commentary track on a [trailer]. I'm in the middle of [editing] my director's cut."

Beginning with the first shot — in which a rough-and-tumble Daniel Craig wakes with a start to discover a mysterious metal band on his arm — Favreau addressed the challenge of melding two genres: Western and sci-fi.

"When you're doing a mash-up of two genres, if you play with either of them tongue-in-cheek, the combo is not going to be what's special," he said. "It allowed us to play Western pretty dead straight."

Also, that opening shot will likely be the film's opening sequence too. "It's the first shot — I'm in my director's cut, but right now, this is essentially how the movie starts," Favreau revealed, adding that the credit for that opening goes to executive producer Steven Spielberg. "The writers told me when Spielberg was developing the script, this was one of his big ideas, this [opening] image."

Another arresting image in the teaser is iconic actor Harrison Ford looking not-so-Harrison-Ford-like but rather grizzly and villainous. Favreau explained that he wants fans to see another side of their favorite actor, with shades of Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

"When Harrison comes into the movie, how do you separate him from everything he's done? How do you present him in a way that I, as a fan, would want to see him?" Favreau said of the challenge in having Ford portray a seemingly villainous character. "He was always this bastard with a big heart; that's the archetype I like for him.

"Everybody's got kind of a rough edge," Favreau added. "This is a genre film."

One more aspect to touch on, via hundreds of comments on the Internet, is a certain shot in which fans claimed that they could see a wire pulling an actor into the air; Favreau said that was no accident.

"When you see more about the way the aliens work, there is a device that they abduct people with that that is a practical element of," he explained. "It's not a mistake — we didn't miss the paint-out — but thanks to the people playing at home. If you could catch that, I'm very proud."

Favreau ended his first trailer play-by-play with a good-natured "thank you" to all the fans.

"We're working hard. Thanks to all of you for putting wind in our sails," he said. "I'm glad you liked what we put out there."

Check out everything we've got on "Cowboys & Aliens."

'Faster' Star Dwayne Johnson Talks Channeling Clint Eastwood

'I've got one big bullet and I'll put it right between your eyes,' he tells MTV News of throwback action flick.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Dwayne Johnson started off the year rocking a pink tutu in "Tooth Fairy." He's ending the year, though, in pretty much the exact opposite fashion, kicking ass like we've never seen the former pro wrestler kick ass before.

In "Faster," Johnson stars as an unnamed ex-con on an utterly brutal mission to avenge his brother's decade-old murder. The movie is like a flashy throwback to ultraviolent 1970s films like the Clint Eastwood-starring "Dirty Harry" and Sam Peckinpah's "Straw Dogs." Those flicks, it turns out, were the inspirations for "Faster," which opens Wednesday.

"The movies of the '70s, a lot of Peckinpah movies, Eastwood movies from the '70s, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson — movies like that where they just have that tone and that texture," Johnson told MTV News. "There weren't big explosions for the sake of explosions, so all the action was fueled by an emotion. Not big bazookas or anything like that. I've got one big bullet and I'll put it right between your eyes. It's that type of action."

That's a far cry from January's "Tooth Fairy," in which Johnson played a vicious hockey player magically transformed into a tooth-snatching, cash-bestowing pixie. It's a role that had him squeezing into tights and donning the aforementioned tutu. So, um, which Johnson character — fantastical fulfiller of dreams or cruel destroyer of lives — falls closest to the guy he really is?

The 38-year-old actor says each role has something in common with the other — a trait he also proudly shares. "There is nothing I wouldn't do to protect someone I love," he said.

Check out everything we've got on "Faster."

After 'Deathly Hallows - Part 1,' What's Next For Emma Watson?

'Harry Potter' actress' career is taking a backseat to her college education for now.
By Eric Ditzian

Emma Watson
Photo: MTV News

In the summer of 2009, Emma Watson confessed to MTV News that she wasn't sure whether, after working on the "Harry Potter" franchise for a decade, she might take an extended holiday from Hollywood and concentrate on her studies.

"I'm reading a lot of scripts and talking to casting agents and if something comes up in the right time then I [would consider it]," she said. "If it was something I really wanted to do, then I wouldn't say no. But at the same time I've been working solidly since I was like 10 ... so I'm going to take a bit of a break."

The 20-year-old actress has largely stuck to that take-a-step-back ethos. While she has a few film roles lined up, they carry a fraction of the profile that "Potter" does. Instead, she's plowing forward at Brown University and expanding her fashion work. Here's what we can expect next from Watson.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2"
"Deathly Hallows - Part 1" notched an impressive debut at the box office this weekend — $125 million, good for #6 on the all-time list of opening weekends. But "Part 2" will likely blow that total away. Why? Warner Bros. is still planning to convert the flick for a 3-D release. Those premium ticket prices should goose the opening ever higher. Which means that despite the low profile Watson will keep until then, come next summer she'll once again be recognized as Hollywood royalty.

"My Week With Marilyn"
No, Watson is not set to play iconic blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe. That honor goes to Michelle Williams. Watson took on a small role as a wardrobe assistant for this film, which follows the just-married Monroe on a tour around Britain with an assistant director on "The Prince and the Showgirl," a film she shoots after getting hitched to playwright Arthur Miller.

People Tree
Earlier this year, Watson made her status as a fashion icon official when she collaborated with People Tree, a Fair Trade fashion label, for a line of eco-friendly duds. Now she's got a second collection of pinafore dresses, cotton cardigans and striped tees. "I still find it hard to convey what Fair Trade means to those producing our fashion — it's just so impressive to see how the women have used Fair Trade clothing to escape poverty and empower themselves and their children," she says on the People Tree website.

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower"
Watson's next starring role could be in this adaptation of a 1999 novel about a lonely teenage boy named Charlie, who deals with issues of familial strife, drug use, sexuality and suicide. Logan Lerman ("Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief") would play Charlie, opposite Watson as his love interest Sam.

Brown University
All of these projects, however, currently take a backseat to Watson's Ivy League studies. As she told us recently, she almost quit the "Potter" franchise, lest she lose a chance to pursue her higher education. "I always try and make decisions in my life based on what's right for me and I just try and be true to myself," she said. "It was mainly to do with scheduling and I had a real fight on my hands to ensure that I was able to go to university and I was able to sit my A-levels, because the schedule they handed to me didn't really allow for any of that and I just wasn't prepared to let it go."

Check out everything we've got on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1."

Usher Most Admires Justin Bieber's 'Excitement And Innocence'

Bieber's mentor tells MTV News the teen sensation has 'so much more in store for the future.'
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tim Kash

With so much accomplished in 2010, Justin Bieber has certainly set the bar high for 2011. But the teen singer is already gearing up for next year. Bieber will not only release his much-anticipated 3-D flick, "Never Say Never", but he has also teased that he'd like to release an album of all-new material sometime later next year.

His mentor, Usher, thinks that at this point, the sky's the limit.

"As far as music and entertainment, that's the beginning," Usher told MTV News at Sunday's AMAs, where Bieber performed and took home four awards.

"There's so much more in store for the future, or at least there's a ton of things we can do and will, and with the support of his fans who will continue to just grow and grow and grow."

At 16, Bieber has accomplished what few manage with many more years in the music business, but Usher said he wants to ensure that Bieber doesn't stop enjoying it all as his popularity continues to grow and his schedule gets busier.

Asked what he admires most about Justin, Usher said, "His excitement and innocence in it. And I don't mean that in a light way because I think that he's absolutely enjoying every moment of it, as any young man his age would, but in a different way because [of] the hard work that has gone in and led to the dream that has become a reality. And every time you have an opportunity do something incredible, I tell him to do his best and be conscious that what you're doing today should last forever and eternity."

What did you think of Justin's AMA performance on Sunday? Tell us in the comments!

B.o.B's 'Don't Let Me Fall' Video Premieres

T.I. makes an appearance in trippy new clip.
By Paul Cantor

B.o.B's new video for "Don't Let Me Fall," the fourth clip from the Atlanta rapper's debut LP, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, premiered midnight Tuesday (November 16) on MTV.com.

The video was directed by Ethan Lander, who also manned the lens for B.o.B's "Nothin' on You," and was shot in downtown Denver and at Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre. The clip weaves in footage from B.o.B's humble beginnings and follows him as he rises up the ranks in rap's food chain.

Supporters, from manager TJ Chapman to T.I., who executive-produced B.o.B's debut LP and released it on his Grand Hustle imprint, are also included in the footage. It's appropriate, considering the song is a "thank you" of sorts to those who've supported him. The lyrics find B.o.B singing, "Well it was just a dream, just a moment ago/ I was up so high, lookin' down at the sky, don't let me fall/ I was shooting for stars on a Saturday night/ They say, 'What goes up must come down'/ But don't let me fall."

The video opens with B.o.B sitting upright on a bench, which seems to be lying on the floor. The world is moving around him, as if he's fallen. Throughout the video, the aforementioned early clips play on an old tube television sitting next to the rapper. B.o.B recites his lines in performance shots set against the rocky terrain of Red Rocks Park and in the open space of the amphitheater. Later, he's shown hanging sideways from a parking meter on the sidewalk. People walking by fall around him, but he's unable to get up on his own.

In the final verse, a band joins him, and they're all lying horizontally on the sidewalk, playing the song with B.o.B strumming a guitar. At the end of the video, he stands upright of his own accord and walks away.

Last month, the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust voted B.o.B. the #9 Hottest MC in the Game.

What did you think of B.o.B's new video? Let us know in the comments!

Beyonce Jokes She's Been Pregnant With Concert Special

'I was pregnant with this DVD,' she laughs to MTV News as 'I Am ... World Tour' is set to air Thanksgiving Day on ABC.
By Jocelyn Vena

Beyoncé never really seems to slow down, so when the time came to choose a director for her concert special DVD "I Am ... World Tour," the singer decided to take on those duties too. It's an accomplishment the singer jokes may have sparked those pregnancy rumors.

"I was pregnant with this DVD, yes!" she joked to MTV News.

The DVD hits stores on November 30, but fans can catch the 90-minute "I Am ... World Tour" TV special when it airs on ABC Thanksgiving night at 9:30 p.m. ET. Beyoncé opened up about what it was like to sit in the director's chair.

"Well, I've done some co-directing for music videos [but] this was definitely a big step for me, and I'm so thrilled," she said at the New York City screening for the flick.

Beyoncé said she was completely hands-on, deciding which moments made the final cut and which ones wound up on the cutting-room floor. "It was hard work," she said. "I learned so much. I have a new respect for directors and I think I would like to do more of it."

Her parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, who also attended the screening over the weekend, said the film gives B the recognition she deserves after years of collaborating on many of her own videos.

"I'm really excited about this because Beyoncé has been making little short films and really helping to direct her videos," Tina told us. "So it's nice that she'll get credit for doing something that she really loves doing and that she's very talented at."

Dad Mathew recalled all of the effort his superstar daughter put into the special. "I'm so proud," he said. "I had an opportunity [to see the film], I've been to Houston with a screening; I've been to Bentonville, [Arkansas], with a screening, and to see the excitement from the audience, what an incredible job Beyoncé did as a director in the editing, I'm just so proud. Hopefully, all the fans go out and get the DVD and soundtrack and look at that ABC special coming on Thanksgiving."
